Make Materials Matter

Make Materials Matter

Reduce, reuse, repair and recycle your goods in Brighton & Hove.

The Make Materials Matter challenge, in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council with funding from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the BLUEPRINT to a Circular Economy project is live now.It rewards local residents for reducing waste and reusing, repairing and recycling their goods.

We produce an enormous amount of waste in our day-to-day lives, from packaging to food waste and litter that blights our beautiful coastline. By thinking differently about how we use materials and what we throw away, we can also reduce the number of heavy vehicles on the roads.

This reduces congestion, improves air quality and creates partnerships across the city to use waste materials as a resource.
